Audi Q7 S-Line 3.0T & MPG...
All this talk about TDI MPG on the Q7 made me very curious about real world MPG in my own Q7. It is not a TDI it is a 3.0T with the bumped up HP from the S-Line package (along with 21" wheels). I filled up the car with the usual Shell93 V-Power gasoline and decided not to refill until the yellow gas light came on... Tires are set for 49psi all around. Occupants varied from Driver alone to two additional Passengers. Temperature has fluctuated from low 80's to low 90's. I made it to quarter tank with 300 miles and still no light. This is mixed driving of 60/40 Hwy/Cty.

I am going to run this down to the point where it states "0 Miles" remaining on the MFD. I am curious how many miles I can stretch out of a typical tank of gas on this.
What are others experiencing on theirs? TDI please chime in as well. Please include driving style and any other factors that may effect mileage.

Good idea, I'll try to look when I next fill up. I always reset the trip mileage but apart from glancing after I fill up before I reset it again, I never really record what it says.

same here... i have never been a gallon gazer and did not buy any care based on MPG. EVER. considering all the threads and talk about TDI lately i wanted to see what the real world MPG was on the 3.0T compared to what a typical TDI would yield.
generally speaking i fill up when the car drops to 1/4 tank (3/4 tank remaining) so i don't get to see what a full tank would hold but i am pretty impressed so far.

The lest leg of City driving & Traffic ate up the remainder of the fuel fairly quickly... I suspect there were more miles to go after the "0" reading but I recorded once the MFD displayed "0".
Results:
Roughly 353 Miles (Shell 93 V-Power).
Hwy/Cty 60/40
Sport Mode Highway w/ Dynamic Suspension Setting
Auto Mode City w/ Auto Suspension Setting
Summer Temperature Ranging 80-90 Degrees.
Single to Multiple Passengers & Varying Cargo Load.
No Hypermiling or Odd Behavior.
Simple Everyday Driving.
24.3 Gallons
14.6 MPG Avg

maybe I'm missing the point?
2011 3.0 TFSI gas prestige here, 48k miles. I fill up ( letting the auto shutoff decide when it's full) and set trip odometer to 0. I drive about 60/40 city/highway, occasional brisk driving, and then fill up when tank gets low.
Then divide trip odometer reading by fill up gallons to get mpg. Answer is typically 17 mpg +/-, which seems reasonable given the 16/22 EPA rating. Road trip highway mileage, 75 mph on cruise control, is typically 21 - 22 mpg.
Maybe I'm missing the point, but your mpg seems low, icono.

no real point outside of seeing what real world numbers are on the 3.0t. while much better than the 4.2l it replaced it is a bit short of what the TDI seems to yield. the point for me was to figure out how much i can get out of a tank of gas with normal driving and for documentation/archival purposes for anyone who may be shopping this vehicle and curious about real world MPG. other than that not much else to see here.

***** UPDATE *****
Recently went on a 470 mile road trip with various stops.
Averaged 17.1 MPG. Refilled once at about half a tank (~240 miles). Shell 93 V-Power. 49 PSI all around. Temperature ranged from 74 - 82 degrees.
(Calculator estimated 460 to a complete tank I felt it was a bit optimistic and filled up in the middle.)

We have just returned from a 2000 mile round trip through France including going through Paris twice.
I'll look add up fueling and see what we managed - this is with a small - 1.3 x 2.2 x .9mtr trailer filled with bikes and luggage etc.... and four people in the car but no roofbox this year.
