Audi Q7 Torque Converter -
Hi, I have a 2007 Audi Q7 3.0 TDI. We bought the car new, and therefore know it has been taken care of properly. The car has done 200,000km, and has started to leak oil from the transmission a couple of days ago. Today, my mechanic told me that the torque converter has gone, and needs to be replaced - which isn't cheap. My question is, should I have the car repaired, and hope this is just one isolated problem, or is the car starting to break apart, and its time to sell it? Do you think more problems will start to follow, and I will need to sell it soon anyway, or in general, how many more km can it do before it starts to go bad?
Thank you in advance for answers, - Jakub.

I don't know where you are located but I guess Europe. I would say that if you still like the car and it fits what you need, I would have a replacement TC fitted, maybe try to find a used one on Ebay.
I guess your car has a BUG series engine which have had problems with throttle flaps coming loose and I also think, oil starvation but if your is still good, I would just stick with it.
