How I replaced my 2008 Q7 brakes for the first time @62k miles
My 2008 Q7 Premium 3.6L brake pad warning light came up a few weeks ago @61850 miles, I drove for about 400 miles until I had time to replaced them. I've bought the rotors from Autozone and PowerStop pads from Amazon years ago. This Q7 is amazingly reliable and solid, besides a new set of tires at 35k miles and oil changes, I haven't had to spend any money to fix anything. Yeah, I installed CarPlay system on it. Luckily, the rotors were the right sizes and the pads fit perfectly. Replacing pads alone would take less than 20 minutes, with the rotors, would take a little longer with 2 persons due to lifting up the calipers due to metal brake hose for someone to remove and slide the new rotors in place. The left mirror no longer moves, I've just ordered one from Ebay for $91, this will be the second expense after 12 years and 62400 miles. Amazing SUV.
Cheers,
Louis
