Battery Died
I looked out in our driveway late last night to see an occasional flashing of my Q7's headlights - about once every minute.
The only strange thing that happened previously was my daughter spilt some water in the rear footwell area which mostly went on the rubber mat. I vacuumed the carpet dry and some went on the rear climate control panel so I vacuumed that as well.
I went out to the car and opened the drivers door and the interior lights came on but very dimly.
I guess the battery died, un-related to the water incident.
This morning, all electrics were dead. I fitted a spare battery I had for my A8 and all seems fine except I am getting no TIP control of the trans and just an ! in a circle in the display on the dash, TPMS warning, no Side Assist and the steering feels heavy at low speed.
I am planning to clear any codes tonight and hope for the best.....

I thought everything was OK. When I drove home from work all seemed Ok again, transmission, steering, dash, side-assist - all working normally.
This evening, same again, lights flashing and then the alarm going of again with the indicators flashing until the battery died.
I am charging the original battery now and may just try that and clear any codes tomorrow morning.
I guess I am looking at a battery draining issues - hopefully it's not the dreaded water in the amplifier problem. I had a quick look and it's all dry around the spare wheel.
