Brake caliper replacement
How involved is a brake caliper replacement on a 2011 q7?
My right rear caliper was showing signs of seepage from the outer bleed valve. I go to replace the bleed valve only to find the threads on the bleed valve (and caliper) are damaged.
Last time my brakes were serviced/flushed was over a year ago by a dealer.
Any advice/tips/thoughts?
Thanks!

Biggest thing will be bleeding the line. P-car style calipers aren't too hard to service, generally. The parking brake should be a drum style, so you wouldn't have to mess with it unless you pull the rotor, which you should not have to do. Should just have to pull the line (banjo bolt on some, JIC or AN style on other, either way no big deal), then pull the two cap head allen screws that hold the caliper to the carrier. Oh, prior to that, you may want to pull the pads if possible, will make it easier to pull the caliper. Many types of Brembo/Porsche calipers allow for pad changes with out doing anything but pulling the bridge bolt. Looks like ours have a cotter pin to keep the bridge bolt from working loose.
