2015 Q7 ELECTRIC TURBOCHARGING
As more and more info begins to come out on the next gen Q7, this is a very interesting development. All this got me wishing I had waited two years for the 2015, not because my 2013 S-Line is making me regret the purchase, but because of how nice this next gen Q7 looks and the engine

i will reserve my opinion on looks once the final product is released but i wouldn't be too eager to jump on the first year new model and most likely will have electric steering which i am not a fan of... wait two years in for the bugs to be worked out.

As a general rule, I agree with your comments
Obviously, if the new Q7 is not aesthetically pleasing I will not consider it. With that said, everything I have seen that points to the new language, I am ootimistic.
We purchased the first year of the Q7 back in December 2006 and had absolutely no problems over the 6 years of ownership. With that said, there is no doubt there were learns that Audi took from yr. 1 and made adjustments...but then that happens every year. I am less worried about first year model ownership issues than I was 10 yrs. ago. I still think there is some validity to it but feel it is less of a concern as manufacturers continue to improve processes and testing.
There is a bit of anticipation talking here too :-) we'll see, a lot of things are going to happen between now and next Summer
