most likely covered under your factory emissions warranty. providing your vehicle has been maintained properly, you have documentation (if it wasn't through a dealer) and you are not modified. inquire with AOA or your dealer before you purchase anything.

IF YOU have to buy one AudiUSAparts on line order. What will one cost you, BUT you need to double check against your VIN before you buy.

I believe that is the part and labor total. 3100 to high for one.

I would call Magnaflow. I think the have direct replacement downpipes and cats. Or any exhaust shop can cut the old one out and weld a new one in. I would change my 02 sensors while they're at it. Stay away from the dealer, they will gouge you for something like this.

Check with your closest exhaust shop. Any decent muffler shop will be able to cut and weld a new one in for you.

Anyone else have any thoughts here? Finally got mine torn apart today. both Flex pipes shot. what a job. My concern about welding in a new one is getting it exact enough so everything lines up properly. One is still intact enough that they can tell exactly what the angles are. The other is completely broken in half and my concern is that if they weld in a new flex pipe that it wont line up correctly.
Ones on ebay look sketchy. Rock auto has always been good to me so thinking about giving theirs a shot (~600). OEM are ~1200.

Is it the cat's or pre-cats that need to be changed?
