Default 2013 Q7 SD card capacity

I just bought a 2013 Q7 prestige. I haven't even picked it up yet, so don't have the owners manual. I was wondering if anyone knew the capacity of the SD card readers, so I can buy new cards before I pick her up.

Thanks Chris

I have a 16 GB sdhc class 10 in my 2012. Note that the more MP3's you have stored on the SD card, the longer it will take to 'buffer' the songs and become available to play. You can transfer your favorite MP3's from the SD card over to your internal Jukebox harddrive for faster playback.

That's good to know about the hard drive. Thanks. I'll probably stick with 16gb then. I didn't think about the lag time with the card.

The manual states the capacity is up to a 32GB SDHC for each of the two card slots although, others have reported using 64GB cards successfully. The Jukebox hard drive has a total capacity of 40GB with about half that available for music and video files. The rest holds operating software and nav data.

Default iTunes to SD card transfer

I too am interested in using SD card for music play back. Can someone tell me the best way to transfer a playlist from iTunes to 1 or 2 SD cards. I want the SD card to function the same way as plugging in an iPod (i.e. album art display). I'm only interested in using the SD card to store a playlist I created called "All Music". I'm not concerned about accessing multiple playlists.

Any contributors?

Not sure why you would need a single playlist at all. Just copy the songs you want over to the SD cards from your iTunes Music folder (not from iTunes directly) using this folder hierarchy > Artist/Album/Song. The album art should be embedded in each song file with iTunes.

This might help:

Take a look at the applescripts at this site to export your playlist files. One of them should be able to solve your query.

Thanks for the link. I created a playlist called "All Music" for 2000+ songs that I play randomly. It's a music preference thing. I like to listen to a variety of music but not with predictable playlists of smaller size.

Hey,

to sync your playlists you could use the tool iSyncer, see http://www.isyncer.de/en

btw: in Q5 or A5 a 32GB SD is no problem.
