Default Confused between 2015 and 2017 Q7

Hello Audi car owners. I am considering getting a Q7 and am really confused between 2015 and 2017 model. I am getting a good deal on the 2015 model more than 10% off MSRP. But the 2017 interior is killing and gorgeous.

I would like to know some more details on the 2017 model like the EPA fuel estimate and the weight decrease for the US model. Any advise from the experts on helping me to make a decision is most welcome.

Thanks,
Ven

Default Here a couple of good reviews….

… to get you started. Basically, the new platform takes away any pretension of off-roadability and concentrates on the luxury, comfort and performance opportunities when you change to an on-road suspension design (i.e., multi-link)

2017 Audi Q7 SUV news and price

The current Q7 is a beauty and if the price is right, a great vehicle did not suddenly become a "dog" overnight with the arrival of the new chassis. Audi has changes their philosophy on the purpose of the Q7 - plus losing 700lbs in the process helps them to meet more rigid CAFE standards…

We are very seriously considering a 2015 because of price and ruggedness - we have a very long 15 mile off-road trail to access a location in the Sierras and this beast would be the right overall tool. I wanted the TDI but now I am a bit suspicious...

I have had many serious off-road vehicles (not listed below) in the past and am not currently interested in going back there, but the current Q7 fits the niche.

Happy Motoring

Eric

My wife and I ordered a 2017 Q7 yesterday and were told we will get the car in January. I'm a car guy, so this decision was made after much research.

Google 2017 Q7 reviews or road tests and also check You Tube for the many driving tests of the new Q7. The current Q7 is a wonderful vehicle. The new one is very different. The exterior styling is rather bland imho, but the interior is stunning.

We ordered the Prestige package gasoline engine and most all options, except the B&W entertainment system. My car is a 2013 Audi S8 with less than 15K miles. It has the B&W, but for $5K less the Bose will do nicely.

Enjoy your new Q7. We certainly plan to enjoy ours.

2017 was a eventually a no brainier because of better technology and interiors, 333 HP for the base and premium plus model and better fuel economy thanks to the weight reduction. I am going with the premium plus. Did you get the supplier discount on the 2017?

We agree with your logic. No, we have not gotten a discount, so far. I have access to the USAA buying service. The Audi dealer honors the service on in-stock models, but has not agreed to honor for the Q7. I am gently pushing them in that direction, but may have to pay full list.

We sold my wife's 2012 RX 350 to a family friend & saved a few $$ there.

It was only a few months ago that I bought the 2013 S8 that had only 7,900 miles. It is a truly amazing vehicle and has most of the electronic systems offered on the Q7. Having spent time in the S8 convinced my wife to go for the Q7.
