Any way to add the gear indicator next to the D or S on MFD?

Default Any way to add the gear indicator next to the D or S on MFD?

In my Touareg, the Multi Function Display shows either D or S along with the gear the vehicle is in. Is there any way to enable this via VAG-COM?

Not sure on the Q7, but this worked on my A6 (be sure you have the latest version of the VCDS software):

Enable Gear Display (D1-D6) in DIS
a. [02 – Auto Trans]
b. [Adaptation – 10]
c. Select “Single Gear Display” from top channel drop down menu
d. Select “D on/S on” from New value drop down menu
e. Select “Do It!”
From another member: Note: May have to select “Do It!” a few times to save the change (I only had to "Do It" once for it to work).

Which year is that and which region? Judging by the color of the numbers it isn't a face lift model. I have not been able to make it work on 2010+ Q7. (Specifically 2012)

Yep- our 07 also shows the gears. The 13 Q5 loaner we had did not. Not sure why they would change that.
