ESP and ABS lights are both on - advice needed
Hello everyone
I have a 2007 Audi Q7 3.0 with 75K miles (US spec car). My ABS and ESP lights are on and VAG-COM is pretty clear on what's going on:
1 Fault Found:
01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64)
014 -- Defective
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 01101110
Fault Priority: 2
Fault Frequency: 1
Reset counter: 163
Mileage: 120102 km
Time Indication: 0
Date: 2013.12.16
Time: 14:03:02
Freeze Frame:
Count: 1792
Count: 8195
Count: 104
Count: 51456
However, if I reset the code above and the lights go off, for the 30 seconds or so before they come on, the ESP button works to turn traction on and off and the ABS kicks in if breaking on slippery ground. As I said, a few seconds after starting the car and rolling it (whether breaking or not) both lights come back on. Am I SOL and have to get a new pump or could this be caused by a faulty capacitor, pressure sensor etc?
Also, I have searched around the forums and there seems to be an ABS fuse, apparently located on top of the battery under the driver's seat. I unscrewed and reclined the seat, found the battery underneath but there is no fuse bank on top of it. Am I missing something? None of the other fuse banks I found have an ABS one either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys!

Looks like it's what it says - a defective ABS pump. My wife's '02 allroad was just discovered to have a leaking ABS control unit which is integrated with the pump. $1800 parts and labor after a hefty discount from the dealer. ABS unit alone retails for $1650 plus 4 hours labor.
