How do I replace the headlight bulbs?

Thank you so mush Rapper. You are right. The procedure is the same as 07 model headlight. It work the same on the 2010 onwards LED DRL headlight.
My advise on the wiring hardness is that you be afraid of break it as if you afraid you will never get it out. I did break the clip when I force the connector out but that's no worries as when you plug the connector back it is still tight.
Once the headlight is out only take about 5 minutes to change the bulbs.

I have a 2008 3.6L Q7 Premium. Currently, my left headlight is out. No HID here. Curious to know what others think about Sylvania bulbs. A replacement OEM bulb is $18 from the dealership. I could get a Sylvania Ultra for $50.
Any complaints with these lights? Thoughts between the various types? Here's a comparison by CarID.com. I've heard that lifespan is much shorter, but I really don't know for sure.
TIA,
Fernando

I broke the little clip (the one nearest the "outside") when trying to put the headlight back in. Will this cause me any problems down the road? I thought about super gluing it back on, but thought it might catch fire. Electrical tape doesn't seem like a viable option.

I have a 2006 Q7 3.0L diesel which I'm loving. The outside light in the headlamps are the high and low beam lights. What are the inside bulbs? I can't get them to light up, so I don't know what they are. Anyone know?

Thanks for the reply. My MMI doesn't have any menu item for DRL. I've been right through it. I wonder if they have been disconnected. I'll ask the Audi dealer again. They didn't have a clue last time.

Thanks Burke for the pics and instructions (HalfdanFaber too).
I just changed the H7 dipped beam globes on each side following your lead. Took me about an hour including reading and re-reading these posts. Unfortunately I didn't heed your gloves warning and lost some skin, but job was relatively easy, even for someone like me who is mechanically challenged. My local Audi service centre quoted A$90 to change one - so I'm $180 better off and happy I had a go!

I have a 2013 Q7, and there is a cover in the back of the headlight housing that prevents you from pushing from the back to allow the housing to slide forward. any ideas? Unless I am doing something wrong. It looks pretty simple otherwise.
