Default I'm now an Audi Owner, first time ever.

This isn't where I thought I would end up to tell you the truth, but after looking at many makes and models the Audi Q7 PP gas, won me over.

Prior to this purchase I owned and I gotta say loved my GX470. I purchased that new in late 06 loaded. My husband wanted for me to purchased a new vehicle since the truck was 9 years old so this is what I picked (He's loving it also) This is the first time in over 25 yrs I have ever had a truck this long, but I just didn't want to get rid of it. I have always driven a truck prior to the GX I had a 03 and a 05 Escalade so this is going to get some getting use to but I LOVE IT!

I'm hoping this will be awesome in the snow and will be as reliable as my Lexus was. If this is the case, I'm betting I'll be a very long time Audi owner.

I did debate on whether or not to wait for the 2016 but from what I saw I didn't care for the looks so I purchased the 2015 Glacier White Metallic/Cardamon

Default welcome..

I am on my 5th Audi. I have had a lot of cars over the years but tend to gravitate back to Audi Mercedes and Range Rover. no regrets with the Q7 so far

Default Our 08 Q7 has been in the Sierras every year since new...

Welcome to the "love it and hate it" world of Audi. No one believes that I haven't had to spend any money besides the tires for my 08 Q7 with now 44k miles. Original brakes and everything. So there, your reliability. Hopefully you got the maintenance contract for 4 years 50k miles, I think I paid $600 for it in 2008.
My wife and the kids love the "big one" rear 4-zone for the snow every winter - We haven't missed any since we've started to own Audis (1991).
My wife wouldn't drive any car but Audi and she compromised yesterday, went out and leased an E-Golf SEL because the car pool lanes are so bad these days in the bay area. We took the E-Golf to and from work for the first day - she felt sick because it was so uncomfortable. I'm glad we haven't sold any of our Audis.

Cheers and good luck,

Louis

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the welcome! I'm not saying that the GX was not without problems and I've had several, one big one was my rims needed to be replace 2 yrs in do to a problem with corrosion which to this day Lexus won't acknowledge. I had to fight for them to do this.

I had an Alternator go at 25,000 miles that left us at the Jersey shore on a Holiday weekend with no transportation along with some other issues but I think in general if you really love the truck/car you tend to go with the flow.

For the most part my truck was a bull and I was not limited to where I could go.

I did purchase the Audi care and if we decide to keep the SUV I will look into an extended warranty. With the Lexus this really came in handy. I'm not a high mile driver. My GX was traded in 9 yrs old to the day and 70,000 miles.

Can anyone tell me what the extended warranties are running? Have any of you purchase these? I purchase the Lexus Platinum no deductible 7/75,000 for $1538.00 when we thought we would only have the truck for less then 7 yrs. I then Purchase a Costco extended for about 2800.00 and that warranty was good until 115,000 miles and til 9/2017 when I traded in the truck Costco refunded $1526.00 back to me. I had used that warranty for a 2600.00 repair so I came out ahead of the deal.
