Default installing side steps

Does anyone have nerf bars on their Q7? I'm thinking of getting the Romik side steps because the sales rep at http://4wheelonline.com is offering me a good discount, and I like the sporty look of the Romik. Just looking for other options. Thanks for any help

I installed the Romik running boards. They didn't stick out as far as i would like, but the brackets/ mounting hardware are stout and strong. I like the way they fill in the Q7 side view between the wheels. Any particular question?

Do any of these options work with the factory towing? I know you couldn't get side steps and towing with the OEM, but I'm hoping there's a 3rd party option that does work. Thanks.

Not sure what you mean about the interaction between factory towing package and side steps/ bars. My Q7, on which I installed the Romik's has the factory towing package. No perceived interaction. More details on the question, please?

Tow hitch and running boards use the same mounting holes apparently. If you build an S-line on the Audi site, it allows you to add the running boards with S-Line but not together with the towing package.

ah, i understand. the Romik's use tee shaped bolts in pre-existing body holes to mount. The installation didn't come anywhere near the tow hitch.

Do you mind sharing which running boards you got? I just got a Q7 and looking to adding running boards to it. Probably as a DIY. Did you install it yourself?

I had Romik RB series w/extensions on my old 2013 Q7 Prestige (non-S-line). Pictured here is my new 2015 Q7 Sport with Romik RAL series running boards. No issues regarding the factory tow hitch were encountered during installation.
