Great looking Q7. I also have the same year/model as you. Sunroof drain issue is huge and would definitely recommend checking it out. Easy test is to open the roof, and pour some water into the drains. If you see any leaks in the front footwells, both driver/passenger, you have a clog. I recall finding a good post on here with details/photos on how you can unclog the drains behind each wheel.
Also, I've gone through a couple day time running lights. I see you have LEDs...I wonder if some MY2009s came with LEDs later in production. I have the old lights.

Is the chain "visible" from the back if I were to somehow try and peek? My experience with timing chains is limited strictly to small block chevy's Those are simple to work on and pull apart and determine what it is.
