Misfuel adapter
Good day first post for me!! Has anyone removed the stupid misfuel adapter? Theres no "proper" nozzles in my town and I'm getting sick of dribbling fuel through the nozzle adapter. Im now hauling fuel in cans to fill a drum to use a rotary hand pump as its slightly faster and cleaner. Worst thing is the wife can't get fuel if I'm out of town. Some one other than me must hate this enough to remove it. and its 2000km drive to the dealer. Hoping some one knows how it comes out. I don't want to just start ripping at it.
Thanks

Check if it's a recall issue

I removed mine last night from my '15 A3 TDi. Looking at the nozzle with the cap removed, you should see two holes, one on each side of the outer ring at the 3 and 9 o'clock position. Using a set of lock-ring pliers, insert the tips into each hole of the outer ring and turn the ring counter clockwise until it stops (about 3/8"). The outer ring can be pulled out with either the lock ring pliers or a set of needle nose pliers. Lastly, remove the misfueling adapter insert carefully with needle nose pliers or wire from a metal coat hanger. You can now fuel unimpeded.
