I may be onto something. In the green menu I am able to change languages, there are many languages to choose from, except all are grayed out except French, Spanish, EnglishUS, and German.
Now, in language code there is an option for "enUS" which is for USA English, and a grayed out option for "enGB". So therefore it is an option, it's just grayed out, here's what I'm talking about:
When changing the language to any of the other languages, it changes the GPS voice as well. So therefore when it is set for German, there is a gps lady speaking German. Same with French and Spanish. But here's the funny thing. The language still ends up English in the menus for MMI when the language code is in German. Here are the menus in French, they change to French.
So my conclusion is that German is preloaded as default and is the "brain" of the car. So therefore NA Q7's come preloaded with Spanish, English, and French.
That means that there could quite possibly be "language packs" that can be loaded onto the Q7.
And for comparison purposes, If there is anyone in the UK or anywhere outside NA, could you check your green menu and see which languages are enabled and which are grayed out?

the reason why those languages are available is because that is spec for the region your vehicle was sold in. french for canada model, spanish for mexico and the other for uncle sam's home.
i was able to do this on RNS-D for two different B5 i owned and it worked very well along with the RNS-E units which sounded great but then turned all the units into meters and km. so while it was cool to listen it was kind of annoying to do the conversion math every time i was in a new area.

Thank you for posting those pictures. As iconoclast said, it's because that's your region. I'd be curious if languages are a part of the European maps. Same with USA maps and Spanish and French maps. There has to be a way to get those voices onto other Q7 models.
