MMI won't turn on... HELP!
For some reason the MMI crapped out on me yesterday, no idea why. I started it up and the MMI screen stayed backed out... then when I hit the power button the AUDI MMI screen displayed but then turned back to black. I tried the reset procedure in the manual, but that didn't do anything. Any advice before I call the dealer to make an appointment? TIA

Reset MMI this procedure:
you reset MMI by holding down the cursor, setup, and the top right arrow button all together. This will reboot the MMI.
if that doesn't work, a dealer visit is in your future
if that doesn't work, a dealer visit is in your future

just saw this now... it fixed itself!
i made an appt with the dealer, got in the car, went to bring it, and on the way there the thing was working normal again?? so i cancelled the appt and it's been fine ever since. just another weird VAG gremlin i guess.

I know this is an old thread. I have a 2008 Q7 and yesterday the same thing happened. MMI doesn't boot up initially, if I push the On/Off ****, it will start to boot and show the initial MMI screen, but then turns off again. I tried the reset of pressing setup + cursor **** + top right arrow button together and nothing happens. Any thoughts before I go to the dealer?
