One Week Owner. Very Pleased.
One week into ownership of my Q7 S-Line (and my first Audi).
1) Love the handling. Exceptional responsiveness with commanding acceleration.
2) The visibility (outside view) is very good. Especially if you lower the back headrests while no one is riding.
3) Cabin space is excellent. The third row seats really do retract to completely flat.
4) The MMI is taking some getting used to but for the most part it's fine. I like the one-button push to turn-off the display.
5) The engine compartment is spacious. If (when?) it's time to do maintenance there's room to work with.
6) The spare tire/cargo area is laid out quite well. Plenty of room to store tools, flashlights, etc., and the access is simple and easy.
7) Seats are comfortable and elegant.
8) The lay-out of the gauges and controls are sensible and easy to understand.
1) The primary cup holder is positioned one inch back to far. Trivial, but annoying. And don't forget and open the center arm rest with drinks or it's a big spill.
2) The cabin comfort controls are almost too much of a good thing. I hope it's possible to "link" the driver and passenger controls so they operate simultaneously. Need to read the manual again.
3) The far rear Pano window "creaks" when closed. Need to have dealer investigate.
Went on Craigslist in my area (Colorado) and it was comforting to see that many (still) nice looking Q7's were being sold with 132K, 141K, and even 185K miles on them. So apparently they last a while!

Enjoy! They are great vehicles. After 5 years and 95K miles we still love ours and plan to drive it 3-4 more years. (Be careful not to spill beverages in the MMI controls. This happened in our A6 that preceded the Q7 and it is an expensive uh oh.)

There is an easier way. Just press the driver side temp control inward for a couple of seconds and all controls front and rear will sync and be controlled by the driver **** until one of them is changed again.
