I guess the 13°C was about right to start off with for last night as we had about the same in England.
Do all the other instruments work correctly?
I would suspect a CPU fault in the instrument cluster assuming that is where the thermistor feed goes to?

1K0 907 543 A thru G
Older Q7's will have the original 'A' version. This has been superseded and now if you go to Audi and your car had an 'A' from factroy they will sell you the 'G' which is the latest version (the letter at the end is just a revision code). So, the letter at the end should make no difference if you are buying a used one, just get any one you can and should work fine. The 1K0 907 543 is the important part.
Hope that helps!

Hello
I just bought a Q7 2008 4.2 and have exactly the same issue.
Is there an easy way to locate the G89 sensor so I can confirm same diagnostic and change it?
or is this dealership kind of thing?
pretty handy but never touch a car except tires and oil change
thank you
