Default Q7 2012 - teething problems

Hi guys, finally bought myself a q7 from auction, but having some problems with it and was wondering if anyone can help

1) the manual child lock on the rear doors doesn't seem to work,I've turned it with the key but back doors are still opening by the handle. With 2 small kids in child seats this is worrying.

2) the car came with a sat nav CD and I'm assuming it goes into the MMI at the front, all that seems to happen is it saying that it is searching for medium? The manual isn't helpful one bit, not sure if it is fault or I'm doing something silly.

Thanks in advance for any help guys

The child lock for the rear is activated by a button on the driver side door under the window switches. And the nav dvd goes in the drive under the trunk basket on the right side.

Step 1, read your manual.

More than likely it does not come with the manual cause he bought it at an auction.

And sadly, unlike Mercedes-Benz and other marques, Audi does NOT give you the option to download a PDF of the manual. Audi should be ashamed of themselves!

vorsprung durch technik...

"advancement through technology"

yet the science of pdf has not been figured out...

thankfully audi has caught on and made the manual integrated into the MMI like other marques but it is a new phenomenon and still growing among VAG vehicles.

But a PDF on my tablet or desktop is so much more convenient than having to get the manual out of the car when I want to look up something. It would be such a simple and inexpensive thing for Audi to do.
