Looking to upgrade the stock Rims on the q7 to a set of 26s, with probally 305s, any issues with the transmission or should a cooler be added.

I have seen 24s but keep in mind your side profile will be small. Check online and search for 26s on Q7

I have 24" wheels on mine. Looks great. No issues whatsoever. 26" wheels you're pushing it. You'll be riding on rubber bands. I would recommend that for any area with pot holes.

With 24" wheels on the Q7, I drive normal. I don't go aiming for pot holes but I don't look like a DUI driver trying to dodge them either. Now I have 22" on my XJL and that one, I do dodge pot holes.

Here's a pic of the 24" Forgiatos on my Q7, it can be found in the thread below.

That was 9yrs ago. The poster hasn't been seen since 2015. Whatever the size it's not enough sidewall. 100% sure he has been wheels.

Default No Issues...

All:

I haven't had that vehicle since forever, but I remember the wheels well. I had no issues, but I also can't remember the size of the tires I had. What I can tell you is I didn't experience any issues, but I'm also delicate and I'm used to dodging pot holes.
