Default Q7 TDI Engine oil type
I want to know different between Engine TDI Engine TSI ( OIL ) because I've read both Engine work with the same Engine oil 5W 40 specification is this talking true?

If you are in the USA, the only suitable oil that will meet the engine manufacturer's criteria is oil meeting the 507.00 spec.

the VW spec for TSI engines is not 507. It's 502 i think. I use Mobil 1 - 0W-40 - European Car formula which meets VW 502 requirement. For TDI you will need Mobil 1 5W-30 ESP Formula. It's special low ash oil that won't clog up your diesel particulate filter with ash when it burns the oil.

Not in a TDI engine. It is not VW 507 approved!

Correct one is Liqui-Moly 4300 5W30
