Q7 Tire recommendation 295/35 21

We did notice a loss of power though - we can tell that the tire is heavier than the Dunlops - acceleration in our Sline feels more sluggish since putting the heavier UHP's on, feels less sporty. And we get some hard down shifts when coming to a stop light, usually when the light changes to green mid stop.
We also noticed our GPS dead reckoning is off - our indicator on our nav map moves just slightly off track and there are times it has a hard time knowing which road we are in city areas with lots of over and under passes or when getting off on an exit, it will hang on to the highway track for way longer than before. I wonder if a Vagcom change would be possible to change the tire size/rpm's somewhere to fix that...anyone know?
Mathematically:
275/45/20 tire size OD is 29.744" (Conti lists OEM tire as 29.7")
295/35/21 tire size OD is 29.129" (Dunlop lists OEM tire as 29.0")
295/40/21 tire size OD is 30.291" (Conti lists both the UHP and DWS as 30.3")
So the 295/40/21 DWS06 size is just over an inch taller than the OEM Dunlops and only just over 0.5 inch taller than the 20" size.
Weight wise per manufacturer:
275/45/20 OEM Dunlop weight is 35lbs
295/35/21 Conti UHP weight is 34lbs
295/35/21 Conti DWS06 weight is 32lbs
295/40/21 Conti UHP weight is 40lbs
295/40/21 Conti DWS06 weight is 37lbs

I replaced the Dunlops with another set. Got almost 20K miles & I live on a hill. I have no complaints. I'm driving a ~5000# beast, with sticky tires, like a sports sedan... maybe the people getting < 10K miles need to drive faster on the twisties...

The rolling diameter is probably affecting the acceleration more than the weight. You've effectively changed the gearing, +4%. ... also introduced speedo/odo error.

When we put the 295/40/21's on, I compared the speedo via my handheld Garmin and it was off by only -0.2mph at 70mph, pretty much dead on.

Pirelli tires are terrible
I have a 2013 Q7 TDI Sline came original with the 21" Dunlops. I am replacing them with Pirelli Pzeros after 20,000 km (regularly rotated and maintained consistent tire pressure). I've read mixed reviews on the Pirelli's and am hoping to get 25,000 km out of them. Does anyone have experience with this tire on their Q7?
In case anyone is interested in a solid winter tire I use 20" Nokian Hakapalita 7's (factory studded) and I have to say the performance of these tires is outstanding in fall/winter conditions. I've put 60,000 km on these tires and only 50% tread loss (this was my 3rd winter on them). Excellent stopping and control on snow and ice, even black ice. Many excursions into the mountains and up mountain passes at elevation with -30 C temperatures. Anyone looking for a great winter tire for the Q7 should seriously consider the Hakapalita line from Nokian.

which suspension setup do you have?
thought of something... which suspension (& setting) do people have that are eating tires?
I have the air suspension, always set to Dynamic. First set of Dunlops went almost 20K miles.

Quick update on these. As expected i ran through half the tread life in 7k miles. Thats beyond horrible. At first they were ok i suppose, but were pretty noisy on the road. Had some humming on concrete surfaces at highway speeds. Pretty annoying really. They were also pretty rough over bumps. My new Nexen roadatian 285-35-22, with less sidewall feel way softer. Overall i would tolerate it if they lasted 30k miles, but that's just not the case for a summer tire. So a big booo to yokohama advan sport

So my Audi dealer is trying to tell me I don't need to rotate my tires as the car is all wheel drive, if this a load of crap? I would think the front wheels wear more because of the front load of the engine.
I have a 2013 Q7 Sline and don't have the air suspension option. Anyone know what mode it would be one comparable to those that do have it? Dynamic? It seems to sit low. I am thinking about putting on the Conti ExtremeContact 295/40/21 but didn't know if they would rub as I don't have the option to adjust the suspension.
TheKochs- what level is yours set at?

My dealer refused to rotate @ 12K miles (15K service), said the tires where too worn @ ~50% tread. >:-| They were worn uneven, front to back, so I rotated them myself & got another 7K miles out of them...
