Default About to pull the trigger on a 2011 Prestige S Line

I am about to finalize the purchase of a 2011 s line prestige w/ 55k miles. The price is just shy of 36k. It's a lease return. I have seen the service records and the car had all of it's scheduled maintenance done through the local Audi dealership. The car has not had any problems at all. It's not the diesel I wanted but it is their top of the line package. I have access to the Manheim auction but the prices are almost the same and I wouldn't be sure of it's service history.

Does anyone have this car? Is this too much mileage? Any known problems with this particular model year?

Any info would help. Thanks!

I have the same Q - TFSI - 47K miles. I ordered graphite grey, espresso, air suspension, sunroof delete. Had dealer install Hawk ceramic brake pads on delivery - still on the Q. Early on I thought the 20" Pirelli Scorpions made ride a bit rough, so I changed to Contis. Great car, has been bulletproof.
I put 71K miles on a similar 2007 Q4.2 with similar results.

I bought my 2011 TDI pre-owned with 19k miles on the odometer almost 2 years ago. I have 61k on it now, its my daily driver and average about 2k miles per month. I don't regret it one bit. Its been a solid and reliable performer for me. One bit of advice I wish I had when I was at the dealer is to take your time and check every single switch and function. The previous owner had spilled something, probably coffee, on the MMI controls and a couple of buttons were kind of sticky, they worked but they would stick and felt really hard to press at times. The dealer replaced it at no charge for me since I had just purchased it. Just keep an eye out for spill stains on the carpet and push and press everything possible. From what I've read here on the forums, I think most of the inherent problems were worked out by the 2010 MY. As for milage and price, seems reasonable to me depending on the condition of the interior and exterior.
Good luck and post some pics if/when you get it.

So good to hear you both are having good luck with your cars. I have read a couple of horror stories about the Q7, but it does seem to be the earlier models that have the majority of issues.

Have either of you upgraded your MMI or found a bluetooth music streaming solution?

There's no way to simply upgrade or modify the 3G MMI to stream music via bluetooth so I found the easiest option is to just modify the Ipod MMI cable. This way you're not modifying the car in anyway. The instructions for the modification to the cable is burried in the linked thread below.

I posted this in another thread:

2011 Q7 w/ 3G MMI
I tried the 30-pin Bluetooth adapter to the MMI ipod cable and it doesn't work. Did some searches and found the best solution for me was to MODIFY the 30-pin MMI cable I already had. You're essentially turning the 30-pin cable into a 3.5mm aux cable but with power to supply the 30-pin Bluetooth adapter. Works great! Just a small resistor from RadioShack for about $3 because you have to buy a pack of 5, a soldering iron, and about 30 min. I plugged in the cheapest 30-pin Bluetooth adapter I could find on fleabay, in case it didn't work, and I was up and running. Phone is connected to it the moment I get in. Granted you do lose a little bit in sound quality, very little, but with smartphones having the ability to adjust your EQ settings I was able to make the best of it. It could also be the $5 Bluetooth adapter but I'm more than satisfied with the sound quality and its worked for the last two years with no problems what so ever. Take a look here:

I traded my 2011 Q7 for a 2014 Q7. My 2011 was 3 years old, and only had a few minor issues during ownership.
