Default Roof Rack & Roof Bars Photos...

Please post your Roof Rack & Bars. I am trying to decide which to go with and the OEM seem ridiculous tall while others look really cheap. I am not debating on using a rack at all but a few photos would help me decide. Thanks.

I just went through this. Nearly bought the one piece Aeroblade Edge setup from Thule but went with the 47" Aeroblade and 460R Rapid Podium setup instead. FYI you are required to buy the lock cores. I'm very happy with the setup. It's very quiet when mounted correctly but I didn't try with the roof open. We haul a full sized Yakima cargo box on top and it works well.

My cross bars stay on the car 24/7/365, and are very quiet. You do have to buy the locks separately, but only if you want it locked.

Would love to see a few pics of the new Whispbar set up on a Q7.. I like the way they stop at the roof mount and do not extend over like some of the other brands..

Take a look at the Thule AeroBlade Edge photos posted in the thread linked above. They appear to look exactly like you're describing for the Whisbar.

From what I've hear, Yakima will not warranty the Whispbar on the Q7.

Those Thule Aeroblade Edge cross bars look really good, they look a lot better than OEM.

I just ordered the black thule aeroblade edge last week. Should be here this week and I'll snap a few pics but they are the flushest, lowest profile bars I could find. Part number 7602B with Thule fit kit 4002.

They look great, a lot better then the previous generation IMO. I will give them a good look in the spring when the time comes to purchase a set. So, im sure everyone has their favorite website or brick & mortar store to purchase such equipment; so lets see what everyone has to say on the topic.

I have had great experiences from online store such as EVO.com, Backcountry.com, campsaver.com and ORSdirect.com

Default Whispbar on 2015 Q7 TDI - Pix

It's night, so these pictures could be better and the car cleaner, but here's our Whisper setup on our 2015 Q7 TDI. We kept these from our 2014 Q7 which we traded. All in all, we are very happy with them. They were a little tricky (if you define that as needing to read directions carefully) to install the feet, but now it's very easy to take them on and off as needed. Hope this helps.

I too have been very happy with the Yakima Whisbars:

Below are the "throughbar" version and i also have the "railbars" on my GL450. I really like the extra width of the throughbar (and I personally think it looks a little better too).
