Has anyone managed to upgrade the hopeless reversing lights on the Q7 , I have a 2011 s line and they are useless backing up on country lanes and find I can see more if I rest my foot on the brakes as the brake lights are LED and light the verge far better .
I bought some LED projector replacements with built in resistors off ebay but the canbus wouldn't have it even when I fitted an extra resistor in the line , it just said bulb failure and didn't light up so they refunded me .
I can't be the only Q7 owner living in an unlit rural area and so must be other having same trouble , any ideas how to improve the problem ?

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!! I can't find a decent replacement bulb. I'm going to install a hitch in the coming months and then going to wire in an strip LED and mount it recessed into the pocket around the hitch on top of it. But I'd still be interested, in ANYTHING to light up the *** end of this Q

Do a Google Search for 796 bulb. It's a 35 watt halogen bulb, which is brighter than the factory bulb; and is a direct drop in replacement.

My experience is that these bulbs are a definite improvement, but they still are not as bright as I would like.

Thanks, but unfortunately my bulbs aren't that type of fitting , mine are just a push in fit where as those you linked to look to have a bayonet fitting .
