Exactly. They leave messages saying: Hi I'm interested and have a few questions about your Q7.

Seems legit, ends up being a waste of time. Once or twice, whatever... when it happens daily it's annoying.

that's it? That's not bad at all.

So how does it work if the person is far and you have to ship the car to them? How would they pay you if they don't physically visit from out of town? Are you responsible to ship the car?

There are many vehicle shipping brokers that find you a spot on a truck. Last time I transported a vehicle from Arizona to FL it was 800 bucks. It is the buyer's responsibility to ship the car, I can assist, those were just my terms though.
Usually payment is in the form of cashiers check and the buyer comes to see the car just like any other car they want to buy.

I'm about to list my 2008 Q7 S-Line 4.2 fully loaded including rear center console with original sticker of $74,000. So EBay worked ok it seems. How long was it on EBay before it sold?

About 2-3 weeks, take some pictures in a nice scenic area with the car by itself. Be careful of scammers!

Q7 sold today, buyer picked it up.

I'm actually going to call auto trader and ask for a partial refund (I paid 70 bucks!), all I got was a bunch of people calling offering to sell it for me. No serious callers.

Wow $70 for Auto Trader now? Crazy! Yeah I was going to do that as to the photos in place of our neighborhood. Makes the car stand out more. Thanks!

Well it's 25$ for auto trader standard listing but you're on page 30, with 3 photos and your ad expires in 4 weeks. For another 25 it doesn't expire until you close it out, and for another 20 you get 'premium' so you're on the first few pages.

Ebay gives you 6 free listings + free auto check report (kind of like car fax)
