Default Selling Q7, What can I do with my T-mobile Audi connect sim

I just renewed my T-mobile sim for 30 or 36 months. Now I'm going to sell the Q7.
Any ideas on what to do with the sim?

Can I use it in an iPad or a phone? Can I put it on "hold"...
Can I sell it?

Should I just leave it in the car???

The 30 month agreement states it's non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if the subscriber is purchasing a new car, T-Mobile has been known to approve transferring the account to another Audi Connect equipped vehicle. Otherwise and sadly, assuming the carrier is not notified of any change in disposition, the new owner would be the only one to benefit.

Would the SIM work in a t-mobile hotspot? Pretty sure you can't sell it "legally" if you can't transfer it. I wouldn't leave it in the car because you'd potentially be liable for overages I would think...but I don't have a prepaid sim, so what do I know?

I'm thinking its going to be money down the drain unless I decide to pick up another audi and have it transferred. There is one guy in the A7 forum who put his in an ipad...might consider that...

Yea, I figured out what to do!
I am going to buy a T-Mobile wifi Hotspot and stick the sim in there. Then my wife can put it in her car and the kids can use it to connect their wifi ipads to the internet.

I bought the ZTE Model MF61 T-Mobile 4G Hotspot, Orange on Amazon for about $55.

I had to change the APN to m2m.T-mobile.com from epc.tmobile.com. (it took me a while because I forgot to hit "save" in the admin page to save the new settings).

Now I have a hotspot with wifi access for my kids ipads!
Works great!

Won't the original sim be limited to 3G speeds?
