Default Front Center Armrest Height Adjustment ?

I was just reading the Audi USA website about the standard features of my Q7. In the Seats section it states:
Folding front center armrest with adjustable height, dual cupholders, and storage
I have not been able to determine how to adjust the height.

Anybody?

My wife has the car right now so I can't check. But I do seem to remember that the center ramrest will rachet up about three clicks. To stow it in it's full down position, you need to bring the armrest all the way up and then down- like those old racheting deck chairs. I'll check tonight.

If so, I'm somehow missing it on mine. This one has the CD changer under the armrest; and just swings open or closed.

I'm not familiar with that configuration. Our cd changer is located right above the Climate Control Unit.

There were two configurations of armrests, one was a slider element, the other for most US spec had the cup holder and the lift up compartment on the driver side half. This configuration does not have a ratchet like mechanism to adjust height.

Tis the one I have. No wonder I couldn't find any height adjustment. Thanks!

Yup, I was mistaken. There is no height adjustment on mine. I have a Mercedes that works like I described and could have sworn the Audi had the same setup. Nope.

My Audi A6 had the ratcheting armrest as described above.
