hi guys. I got a question. Is it possible to enable a message of some sorts saying that the sunroof is open? My old merc had that back in 2005 and i am wondering if my 2009 q7 premium plus can do that. Also are there any vag com mods for the q7 alone? I did a few but i had to search multiple pages. Thanks in advance guys

I don't think there's a sensor on the sunroof to let you know it's open.

I know kind sir but for some reason the front part of the sunroof pops up without me doing it. Dealer cant solve the problem despite being in for 3 times. I even gave them the codes from the vag tool and still cant do anything about it.

It sounds like the mechanism needs lubricating. It may be that as it closes the resistance on the motor exceeds the pre-set value creating the condition where it appears something may be stuck in the way of the roof closing causing it to open again.
Do you close it with the lock button on the door handle or with the remote key button?

I use both. I can't say that i have a favorite. I lubricated the rails with silicone lubricant and cleaned the drains. They weren't clogged but I figured it will help. My key for some reason cannot be activated via the mmi to store the settings. And with the vag i have no clie how to do it.
