Default Warranty Extension - Carbon Buildup

I received a letter from Audi of America today. It says they will cover cleaning of engine cylinder head secondary air ports to remove carbon buildup to 10 years or 120,000 miles. Applicable to certain 2009-2013 3.2L and 3.0T engines. The letter was specific to my 2011 Q7 (which I no longer own); however, I would think many of you will receive the same letter.

I had to pay for this problem, but guessing that Audi left the 4.2 Q7 hanging since this engine is not available anymore.

... and, you do not need to receive the letter to "qualify" for it. It is an "acknowledgment" letter, not a certificate of some sort to be a proof.

And so long as the engine year and model qualifies for the warranty extension as stated in the letter.
