What hose is this?
I was changing the oil filter on my 2010 Q7 TDI this weekend when I pushed this hose (See Pics below) out of the way and liquid came squirting out. It appears to be coolant and the hose appears to connect to the reservoir.
What I can't figure out is why it isn't leaking out when the truck is running? Or is it and I just can't tell because it's such a small amount?
Any help with what purpose this hose serves and if it's something I need to take in to have replaced would be greatly appreciated!

I believed that goes to your EGR motor which is behind your filter housing. It is very important for a TDI needs coolant.
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Cooler uses engine coolant to reduce exhaust gas temperatures prior to recirculating them through the engine's intake system. Reducing engine combustion temperature helps prevent the formation of Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) pollutants.
attach about the EGR.
