Hi everybody!

That picture comes from a dealer ad and I just wanted to know if it's the beginning of the known problem (sunroof leak).

Anyways I'm not going to buy this car which is a very high mileage car (186k miles) (300k KM).

It's an '08 Q7 by the way.

Have a good day, all.

Probably clogged sunroof drains. Pretty common and easily resolved.

So it's the sunroof leak, and maybe lots of components have been damaged.

I think if it was the sunroof. The water mark would be connected to the side panels. That just looks like a stain in the middle. I could be wrong though

The sunroof drain channels run down the A and C pillars. If they get clog, the water will back up on to the front or rear floor pan carpets. 3, 5 and 6 in the diagram. There would be no water touching the door panels.
Been there, done that. A weed whacker wire can be used to clean them out.

I had the same issue in my old '08, ended up being a clogged drain, but from the firewall section in the vicinity of the cabin filter. Pull off the plastic apron at the base of the windshield and inspect in there for built up debris.

It's a common problem with the a/c drain line. There's a 3" rubber hose sticking out of the lower firewall just behind the engine on the passenger side. A flashlight will show it. Take a broomstick and bat at it and it will open up and water will gush out. It get's sticky from the heat and doesn't open up like it should.
