Will Q5 roof cross bar work on Q7?
Okay... quick question.
I'm still in the market for some roof bars for our 2011 Q7
i'll look at both Thule and Whispbar
local craigslist shows someone selling a set from their Q5 (2011).... will it work on the Q7?
the seller think it will but i'm not sure.
price is great if it works...

No it will not work. The Q5 has an extra lug for the ASM sensor. Q5 cross bars are specific to Q5s and come free with them. Anyone selling on ebay is depriving that car of its OEM part.
Oddly there is a guy on the Q5 forum looking for bars as he didnt get any. He cant get them because they are not a stock parts item as every Q5 has bars.

Okay... quick question.

I purchased Thule, low profile and they look great!
When I open my roof, they do touch my Yakima sky-box, but do not seem to hurt anything. And, I don't really open my roof often or have a need with the box on it anyway!
