I have over 20k miles on OEM Continental 4x4. Still plenty of life left and no uneven wear. I can get an accurate number on the remaining tread if anyone's interested.

Wow! Mine had 20k plus with about 5k tread left when I sold the car. We must have different driving habits.

I mean they were not exactly bald but tread depth was at a point where I was not confident on passing inspection, wear was even but handling was getting flaky. The root cause probably is higher heat from cornering and a bit heavy on the pedal.

Just did a little maintenance to my Q7.

- Yokohama Parada Spec X
275/45/20
- S-Line 5 Spoke Wheels (purchased used with TPMS) to upgrade from the 19's it came with..
- 4 Wheel Alignment
- Brake Fluid Replaced
- Hawk LTS Brake Pads All Around

So far so good, Cheers

What's the typical cost (or cheapest source) for the Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires? I'd need (4) of them mounted and balanced. I think my buddy said he paid around $800 at America's Tire Co. Wondering if there is a lower cost vendor to buy and mount/balance the tires or is $800 about the going rate for a new set of Paradas?

discounttiredirect.com has them for $640 shipped plus a $25 discount currently which brings you down to $615 no tax free shipping. Can't beat that.

I paid $590 on 4th of juky weekend. . $640-$50 discount

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I just picked up a set of Yokohama Parada Spec X tires and wanted to know what would be the recommended tire pressure to set them. Sticker on the door I think mentions 46psi front and 49psi back but the max psi for the Yoko's says 50psi.

Thanks.

Check the inside of the door over the fuel filler.

This is different than the recommended max load specs on the door?

Been reading many different recommended specs online ranging from 36-42psi. Not sure which is best but currently have it set to 42psi but may think it is still slightly high?

Thanks.
