2016 Q7 Release Date?
I have a 2011 Q7. It was involved in an accident and waiting for adjuster for assessment. My wife loves the Q7. Does anyone know when 2016 Q7 will be in dealer? Is it available for order from dealer now? I don't know if I should wait or get the 2015 Q7.

I was just at a presentation at the N. California Audi Technical Training Center and the 2016 Q7 is definitely NOT here until January 2016. They were quite positive about that, as the technical training on new models has to start about 3 months in advance of release and training is scheduled for fall of this year. They had no idea of when ordering will begin.

Fyi, today I emailed the Audi PR personnel listed on their 2015 lineup press release and they responded:
The Q7 will arrive toward the beginning of the new year in 2016. Thank you for your interest and it is a great car - worth the wait.

I will be at Audi of America HQ tomorrow with the local Audi Club for an introduction of the Q7 and new TT. If I hear anything more specific I will post details back here.

Audi Q7 product manager confirmed Q7 will go on sale in January. He wasn't sure but guessed the order book will open in September. No final pricing or EPA numbers yet. Most of what he talked about has already been disclosed. The news items are that the US will get the 3.0 gas and diesel engines to start. 2.0T will come later but all will have Quattro. The S-Line package will not be available in the US. Virtual cockpit will be an option. We will not get some European options due to NTSA regs, the big one is the power folding trailer hitch which they had on display on a Euro model and it very trick. Air suspension will be an option.
