Has anyone heard about Audi cancelling the exclusive program for the Q7 because a lack of utilization?

My wife REALLY wants a Red car and we were looking at ordering the Garnet Red Pearl Effect color from the exclusive program but one dealer is telling us the program is no longer available which really makes it hard for me to sell her the Audi over the Volvo XC90.

Any info or updates are appreciated.

Order Guide simply lists it as:

"EXCEPTIONS
Q7: Exterior paints are currently not available"

Isn't it true that the Audi Exclusive offerings for the exterior haven't been available at all for the 2017 Q7. So it isn't for lack of utilization, but something to be offered when demand dies down...

Does that mean if I'd waited to order mine until nobody else wants one I could've gotten either a nice, '70s metallic orange or metallic green Q7?!

I am sure that it is the case... More like it is not efficient from a manufacturing perspective to offer one-off colors when you can't keep up with base demand. Isn't the standard wait time right now around six months...

Our dealer told me 90 days as long as you don't have any of the options with delays currently such as towing, luxury, black optics &/or tofana white.
