Default audi connect app on i phone

I seem to be able to connect to the car when my phone is wifi but if i use my data plan it fails to work. Im on tmobile. What has been your experience?

For what specifically? Some things like media streaming only works if the phone is connected to the car's wifi network, but most other things like sending destinations to the nav works through any connection as that all goes through the cloud. I don't have a Q7, but I use the app regularly to send destinations and calendar appointments to the car from anywhere. Never had an issue. I have an iPhone 6S running iOS 10.0.2 now. It was working fine on iOS 9, too.

I was looking at the location finder. I was at the apple store today with the car in the parking lot and on my tmobile data plan i could not see the car. When i connected to teh stores wifi it was fine. Wondering if tmobile is not allowing the connection or mabee just my data plan. Are any of you using tmobile? I suspect if i am looking for the car i am not on wifi but would be on my data plan.

Either that or your T-Mobile inside the store wasn't producing the necessary bandwidth needed to run the features in the app.

This has happened to me with various apps in the past. Normally it's because cellular data isn't enabled on the iPhone.
To check and see, go to 'Settings' and then scroll down to 'MMI Connect' to check if data is enabled.

I went to the apple store to double check if I missed some settings and they said they were correct. This is with both my i7 and my wife's i6 so the only common denominator is that were both an the same type of plan. I will post if I find resolve.
