Default Automatic Tail gate with kick

Does anyone have issues opening their tailgate with the kick on the Premiun Plus/Prestige? I watched a few videos online but just can't get it to work. Well, I can get it to work but it's a hit or miss and don't want to break any sensors under the bumber. All I can think of is a great idea from Audi but poorly designed and executed.

If its just me, maybe someone can provide some tips to do this right. BTW, I've got the towing package and the 7 pin connector but don't think that should make it any harder.

Thx in advance for your help.

I have the same issue and also have towing. Haphazardly works...very annoying.

I had a few misses early on but not a problem since. Kick towards the center of the rear.

Kick to the center, at the height of your kick sweep your leg to the right and down.

It only works for me when my car has all doors locked. Is this normal?

The tricks is: A swift kick motion, in and out. No waving the foot etc. Just a quick in out motion, without hitting any car parts. Try it, should work every time.

Once you get the technique down it works pretty well, took me a while but it works every time now.

Had user issues to start with, kicking too many times etc. Have been using the method described by BigKutta and it works every time.

Works every time for me too. I suspect the lag from kick to the gate is opening may prompt some to kick again, so being a bit more patient waiting for the gate to open should do it.
