Default Beam Rings

Does anyone know if you can dealer install the beam rings? Found a car that has almost everything that we want except for beam rings.

Yes you can, but they are back ordered so you may have trouble finding a set.

The Audi rings puddle lights are very easily to do. It took me less than 10 minutes to do both doors.

Here's a web page for a knock-off version of the Puddle Lights. Near the bottom of the page, there are instructions on how to install them.

Did you get the knock-off version? Just wanted to see how they compare to the factory one.

The original Audi lights are much brighter. They aren't exactly cheap but for the price my dealer did the swap - both doors less than 5 min. They look absolutely great.

I did not go for the knock-off version. I got my dealer to throw in the original Audi rings puddle lights for free.

Here's a thread from the A5OC forum showing some examples of knock-offs.

Thanks, it says Q7 2006 to 2014. Does it work for 2017 model?

I ordered 2 sets of the rings from a UK Audi dealer after seeing an earlier thread on this forum. Not the cheapest but can't fault the quality.

I was a little concerned about fitting them myself but it actually turned out to be very easy.

The first one took about 10 minutes but once I'd realised it needed a very small / thin flathead screwdriver to unclip the existing LED and disconnect the cable, it took no more than 10 minutes to do the remaining 3.

The first one (drivers door UK) also didn't have much slack in the cable, so it was a little bit trickier to ensure it didn't disappear inside the door when it was disconnected.

I just used the one in the link as an example. There are the same versions for you vehicle. I think they're the same puddle lights for the different Audi models but don't quote me on that. Best to ask the vendor.

Default amazon link as promised

I know people generally think the OEM lights are the best.. Ive seen both and honestly its the same technology and the OEM rings are cleaner because they are fully white so they project a 2 dimensional white silhouette but they are so expensive in my opinion. I already posted the version of the Chinese ones I had on my A7 .. for the Q7 I added these.. they are a little nicer, little more 3D image and little crisper in quality. The picture doesn't do it justice because lighting was not ideal and it was in the garage on an epoxy floor which is reflective..they show better when its pitch dark and on black asphalt like at the valet etc.. but you get the idea.. they are so cheap I don't get why people wouldn't try them and if they are unhappy then buy the $200 audi OEM ones.
Here is a pic and link
