Best color and why?
I am ordering my Q7 tomorrow. Really torn between black and white. In europe, they offer black or white as free colors. Then all other colors you have to pay over $1000 for them. What is so special about those other colors? What color did you choose for your car and why is it so great. Help me to make a decision. Thanks

I chose night black. ..going for the blacked out sporty menacing look and since it's not metallic should be easier to repaint compared to orca in the event I need to repair it

The choice of colors really sucked. I did not want the conventional Black, white or grey. Blue was good but I found the Argus Brown to be better and I ordered that.

Really impossible to answer. I've really struggled with this question as well. If there was anything I was uncertain about in terms of options, it was the color combinations.
I didn't think any of the colors really stood out above or beyond any of the others. For instance, with some other models, I feel like there are one or two clear cut winners in terms of colors. Panther Black, Sepang blue, etc. With the Q7 however, and I understand why, the colors are a bit more on the conservative side for the initial version launch.
At different times, I've really liked gray, black, white, brown, etc. Graphite Gray is a beautiful color, and a color that really goes well on almost anything. All the whites and blacks are very nice, with Tofana White and Orca Black being particularly attractive to my eye. Argus Brown is stunning as well, and different than most of what you'll see on the road.
Ultimately, my choice boiled down to just feeling like something was missing without the black optics, and since I had never chosen the black paint with the black optics, I chose that combination. However, as I've discussed in other threads, I've been tempted by the other colors just as much, particularly Argus Brown and Tofana White. Can't wait to see my Orca Black with the black optics, however.

While there is no "perfect" color, generally white is easier to see at night, black and other dark colors look great but are much harder to keep clean and gray shows the least amount of dirt. Colors other than basic black or white use metallic paint which adds to the cost due to a more involved paint process at the factory.
