Fast approaching 5,000 miles on the Q7. Wondering if other owners are taking their cars in to the dealership for oil changes and tire rotation before for the first comp'd service?

First service is just a check up, they do the first oil change at 10k.

There no longer is a 5k service. According to the 2017 schedule, the first scheduled service is at 10k.
I am going to do a 5k oil change myself.

I know there isn't a 5k service any longer, just was asking if others were having their oil changed at 5k along with tire rotation.

Believe I recall several doing so, but I think the oil change & tire rotation costs are out of your pocket. At the 10K service, the oil change is no charge and you pay for the tire rotation - just had mine done Saturday.

So everyone seems to be fine with waiting until 10k to do the first oil change (with the comp'd service). I know with my previous A4, we had the services done every 10k, but still had oil changes done every 5k.

I'll be doing mine myself at about 2k and then letting them do the 10k service and I will do the rest after that.

I'm not OK with waiting till 10k miles for the first oil change. Break-in oil is full of metal particles. My real concern isn't so much the oil but the filter.
