Default Poor Workmanship on Front Quarter Window Frame?

Hi Everyone!

I recently just picked up a new Q7 Prestige and I am loving it!
I haven't had too much one-on-one time with it until the past couple of days.

Today, I noticed that the rubbery part that makes up the vertical run of the front left and right quarter windows appears to have some signs of some poor quality workmanship. It's quite odd. I was wondering if those out there with Q7s can help by taking a look at theirs to see if they have the same issue going on?

It's not the end of the world, but everything else in the interiors is practically perfect ... until I saw this. See the pics attached.

Thanks!

D.

That looks like crap. Looks like something Tesla assembled. Looks like the rubber seal is damaged or missing in that area.

In the first picture in particular, it looks like somebody used some kind of really small tape to tape around the vertical. That's so weird.

That's bad. I would take it back to the dealer and have them fix it - do not procrastinate otherwise they could say it was acceptable.

Thanks for your reply. I will take it back soon.

Anyone else with Q7s have the same issue with theirs?

Thanks in advance!
