Default Screw in tire

Ok, dumb question. I got a low air warning for the front right tire last night. Found a fairly large screw in the tire this morning, and unfortunately it is pretty close to the shoulder, so I am doubting a repair is possible.

I chose not to purchase the wheel and tire coverage(grr), any chance I could buy the coverage now as you can with some of the other warranties?

No chance you can buy it now and get it covered. You can get extended warranty but the wheel and tire coverage has to be bought at the time of delivery or within the first week of delivery I believe.

I agree. Also know that Audi Dealers will not attempt to fix any tire...they only replace them with new ones.

I guess I should say that in my experience with two different dealerships in two different states they both said that Audi has a policy of not fixing tires.

Which is not a big deal as any tire shop can repair a tire. Assuming, of course, it's safe to do so.

I went to a national discount tire chain I've used since forever. They fixed it for free. I bought certificates on the tires after the repair. A "certificate" is like insurance, if a tire can't be fixed it's replaced, no deductible, no proration. Have never not had at least 1 out of a set of 4 tires replaced. Rotate and rebalance is free for the life of the tires.
