ships at anchor in emden
I have noticed both the goodwood and baltimore highway have been at anchore for several days and have not seen ships being loaded. Is this the port delay.

My guess is the ships in Emden are also in the same situation. Most ships sit offshore waiting on the port to arrange traffic and customs. So, I doubt its due to the port hold placed by AUDI.

It just seems odd. I dont usually watch ships but its been fun to track them. I would think it cost thousands of dollars a day to have a ship just sitting and i didn't notice them having to anchor but i have only been watching the last month. Both piers at emden are empty. My though was since the port charges per day you would not want to come in unless they were ready to load you.

Into Houston, banana boats get first priority. If your hauling something like steel, your ship will sit anchored off shore for days. Most shipping channels are narrow so usually only one large ship gets to go through at a time.
