Default Winter tyres

I have 20 inch wheels for summer. Is it any problem to also get 20 inch winter wheels? or would 19 or 18 inch be better?

Smaller winter wheels are usually preferred. More sidewall provides a better ride and they are less expensive than 20" wheels/tires.

for winter driving, you would want taller profile and narrower tires. 18 or 19 (if the brake caliper can fit inside 18" wheels) will much preferred. the analogy I use is you would prefer 4 ice skates over 4 snowboards when you try to carve through the slush right?

Yes, please the those winter tires will perform better and cheaper!!. by A LOT.. you're talking about over 300 a tire vs. 150 a tire.

Aside from the compact spare wheel accessory that Audi has available, what 18" wheel have you found that will actually fit the 4M Q7?

And even if you find an aftermarket 18" wheel that fits, it will be questionable whether it's manufactured to strength specs that will satisfy the Q7's higher load requirements.

Even Audi's own winter wheel package specifies a 19" x 8 wheel with 255/55/19 winter tires.

That's just a dealer package. Doesnt' mean I have to only go with the Pirelli Scorpion. I have found a couple that I think might work but still doing the research.
