Default RS6 to North America what happens of I do

What would happen if I flew to the uk and bought and rs6 (c7) and brought it back? I know it would be expensive but way would happen? Could I not bit it in a container and but it on a ship to North America?

For one thing it would have the steering wheel on the wrong side and second it will be crushed into a cube, unless you bring it into compliance, which includes bringing in several RS6, so that all but one can be destroyed in crash tests. Following is a good read about the legal ways of importing a car to the United States.

Simply put your car would be impounded and most likely destroyed when it hit US shores. Since it's not eligible to sale in the US and would need to either be 25 years old or you'd need to ensure it complies with FMVSS and EPA standards, which would cost a heck of a lot than the car is worth.

If it were as easy as what you've written...it would be done MANY times over, since shipping containers are relatively cheap for car transport across the Atlantic.

What you can do is declare the RS6 as a parts car. Then, transplant the RS6 engine/tranny/ECU, etc. on to a nice North American A6 or S6. Just an idea. Not sure if you can ship an entire parts car into the US or something chopped up.

Others have tried a similar route (Search R32/34 Skyline) and with disastrous results...Although I'm not a fan of the rules and bureaucracy concerning importation, the folks at the border know what's up and have seen a lot of "imaginative workarounds". BTW, I have actually imported vehicles into the US, so know 1st hand some of the loopholes and tax implications.

Although the following is written humorously, it does provide some insight: Here Are The Four Legal Ways To Import A Car To The United States
