Default 2015 CPO RS7 w/35K miles...fair price?

Hoping to get a little feedback on a potential RS7 buy. A dealer in the PacNW has 3 CPO RS7s. I test drove one that had standard air suspension. It was every so slightly stiffer than my 2013 S6 but had that slightly disconnected feel the air suspension cars have. Plus it had the aluminum optics package which I am simply not a fan of on a black cars (no offense to anyone who has this).

Same dealer also has a DRC car. It has the entire dynamic edition package w/red interior accents, B&O, carbon optics, driver assist. I didn't have time to test drive this one. However, it has 35K miles and from reading through the CARFAX, has already had the front shocks replaced at 17,000 miles. I don't know if this replacement was DRC related or not. Do you guys think the asking price of $89K is fair for a 2015 CPO car with that mileage? The warranty would run through ~2021 as I don't put that many miles on per year. I would definitely drive before making an offer.

I'd say it's on the high side, a fairly high mileage car for being two years old covering essentially 17k miles a year.

I bought a 2014 in January with 12,000 miles for $88k, all the options including DRC, with XPel Ultimate wrap and integrated Escort laser/radar jammer. Personally I'd prefer lower miles than care about the model year.

Seems like DRC is an issue with these cars, mine is currently in the shop at 14.5k miles getting a front shock being replaced, it was knocking over bumps. I love the feel of the DRC ride feel, seems really connected to the road as one would expect from a top end RS model, doesn't seem too harsh unless full dynamic is selected.

Thanks for the reply. Do you drive over pretty rough roads?

My perspective is that I've driven an air suspension S6 the last 3 years. The suspension is perfect for that car. But if I'm going to trade for an RS7, I think I want the stiffer suspension. I would also normally pass on a car with 35K miles but this particular one is fully CPO'd and appears to have been exquisitely maintained. Also, DRC cars are very hard to find. I think $84-$85K is probably a more reasonable price.

I live up here in the Seattle area too so you're familiar with the roads ;-) Fully agree that DRC matches the character of the RS moniker. The ride firmness of DRC comfort/DRC dynamic is pretty much identical to an R8 with mag shocks Sport off/on. If the car is immaculate paintwork/leather/plastics together with the CPO and the options you like then it could be your perfect specimen. Given they have 3 on the lot (which a couple have been there since the beginning of the year) I think you'd probably have good leverage to push them down to the mid $80's.

Best of luck! The RS7 is simply beastly, a constant supply of grins and planted on the road like it is on rails - even in the pouring rain, it just doesn't give out. Personally I feel it has more bite than an R8 V10 that I had for a few years.

I'm late to the reply, but I live in Boston area and have a 2015 RS7 pretty much loaded. I have not had any suspension issues, nor any maintenance issues other than scheduled mtc. I run in Dynamic most of the time, and despite the traffic and mentally challenged drivers that surround us and force some erratic braking from time to time, haven't had to do brakes or anything and have 33k miles. So far so good. I think a mid 80s price is right on (85k feels right to me) and I project you won't be disappointed. In Dynamic the suspension is just right, stiff, planted, but still comfy enough for daily driving. Only person who hates Dynamic is my wife when she's shotgun, and it's not the suspension, it's the aggressive tranny and the fwd/aft/fwd/aft effect if you aren't holding onto the wheel...and yes, that is well worth it! Good luck.

I just paid $87k for a 2016 with 1900 miles CPO'd with AudiCare as well. Original MSRP was $128k. It was priced $15k under market and I have yet to figure out why....and I hope that I never do.

Wow...I thought I got a great deal for my 2016 RS7 at $90K that has around $23K of options, and stickered for ~127K. Had 6036 miles at purchase.

But your deal probably can't be beat. And you got this as a CPO from an Audi dealer???

That's crazy...
