Default 2016 Wheel Damage

So, I made the mistake of trying to squeeze by a parked car and damaged my rear driver's side wheel. The paint has chipped off the wheel and there are significant scrape marks and gouges all over. I have the 21" all silver 5 spoke blade wheels.

Should I ask my dealer to repair, look online for a used refinished wheel, or buy new? Any advice or resources would be appreciated. Thanks.

Without photos it is hard to offer an opinion. I will say that you will probably end up with a new wheel from the dealer. I think it would be very hard to make a repair that is both cosmetically up to standard and structurally safe for that performance level car.

My wife really messed up a wheel and tire on my A3. Took it to the dealer and I bought a new tire and they had a sub-contractor come out and refinish the wheel. Looks like new and you cannot tell it has been repaired. I think the wheel repair was about $150. Was a great deal and a lot less than I was expecting.

Take it to a wheel repair shop. If they can't fix it, look for a used replacement. Check your local car forum to see who does good work.
